About Therapy


The initial meeting will give you the opportunity to discuss the reason that has brought you to therapy and Kathryn will conduct an assessment and discuss the terms of her contract with you and how she works.
 
By building a trusting, understanding and non-judgemental professional relationship, Kathryn encourages you to openly express your feelings and concerns in a way that may be difficult for you to do with friends or family. Counselling and Psychotherapy enable you to work with Kathryn to gain insight and understanding regarding your feelings, thoughts and behaviour and to initiate change.
 
Life Coaching is aimed at individuals who are in a position to move forward but may lack the motivation or clarity as to how to do this.
 
Kathryn uses a combination of Person Centred, Attachment and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy which enable a flexible and personalised programme of therapy to be used, giving you the opportunity to address current issues and/or issues from childhood. Occasionally, it is in your interest for Kathryn to suggest a referral to a different agency and she will provide you with those details
